13 Past Midnight

Matt has been performing all week in the play, "13 Past Midnight" over at Skyline.
We went on Wednesday night.
All the actors/actresses did an amazing job.
I was so impressed!

I think Matt was thinking when he signed up for this class!

Matt is good friends with both of these cute girls;
Jessica McKay and Shara Landeen.

Engagement Photo's

On Valentine's Day Matt did a photo shoot for Sam and Hailey.
He did an outstanding job!
I'm anxious to see which one they pick for the announcements.
We are so excited for the big day.
May 1st will be here before you know it.
Aren't they a cute couple?

Kyle & Shandi's Wedding

On February 13, we traveled to Tremonton to go to Kyle and Shandi's wedding.
What a cute couple and the wedding was decorated so cute.
We totally enjoyed ourselves.
This is Wynn's sister's son who got married.

On our way out, Wynn couldn't resist.
Jerrica, you are a gem to put up with this kind of behavior.

The Sweetheart Dance

The Sweetheart Dance is a girl's choice dance at Skyline.
This year, Matt went with Molly George.
She is such a nice girl and oh, so cute.
For the day date, they went and played in the snow.
Looks like they had tons of fun.
Here the group is all ready for the dance.

Our new "kid" car!

After a month of searching, Sam found us a car.
We are so happy to finally have wheels for Matt again.
I now don't have to share and life is great!!!
Thanks Sam, you are awesome!!!

Happy Birthday Sam!

We were so lucky to get to have Sam on his birthday this year.
He and Hailey came home for the long week-end and so we celebrated.

Here we are blowing out the candles.
23 years old but not 23 candles.

Emily had more fun than Sam did blowing out the candles.
But, we had fun watching.
I wonder what Sam's birthday wish was?
We love you Sam, hope you had a great day.
Hope you have many more birthdays and
that all your wishes come true.

Wedding Reception in Utah

Last weekend we got to travel to Utah to attend my brothers son's wedding reception.
Mikie and Meredith were married on January 23 in the Newport Temple.

Sam and Hailey came from Provo to Bountiful to attend the reception.
(Aren't they a cute couple?)
Their wedding is next!

Here's my cute Mom. Isn't she pretty in this picture?

Wynn and I just enjoying ourselves.
It was such a nice reception.

The beautiful bride and groom.
I loved their colors, pink& black.
It was simple and oh so beautiful.
So glad these two found each other.
They just seem perfect together.

My cute little niece, Addison.
Angie and Justin's little angel.
(Angie is my brother's daughter)

Our little Emily!
She loves her pockets.
She kept putting her hand in them.
Mom would give her Smarties and
she would unwrap them and
stock pile them in her pockets.
Oh, she is so much fun.
I love you Ems!!!

Come On Down!!!

It was Gender week at Skyline last week and Matt's Student Government
Class was putting on the assembly.
"Which Gender Will Surrender" was the plan.

The kids put so much time into an hour long assembly.

It looked pretty good, don't you think?

The finished product!

Off it goes to Skyline for the assembly on Friday morning.
What a week it was! I'll tell you what,
Matt lives and breathes that Student Government class.
He is so devoted to a great cause!
I love his determination and willingness to
give everything he has and (we) have to a great cause.
Your the best Matt, we love you totally and completely.

Turning the BIG five - 0!!!

Age has never really been a factor in my life but
for some reason turning 50 was hard. . .

Wynn had taken me shopping for my birthday but I couldn't really find anything I wanted. I knew that soon there would be something I wanted and so we decided to just wait and not buy something just to be buying. So I was really surprised on Sunday when Wynn came upstairs with a huge gift for me. Deep down I was really excited. Wow, he had done something to surprise me and it looked great.

I should of known that that jokester husband of mine wouldn't let my 50th birthday a lone. . .

Yes, you are seeing it right, he got me an old lady walker! At first it was really funny and the kids were just laughing so hard and I was too. But, it just hit me that hard and I started to cry. I don't know, if there would of been diamonds attached or cruise tickets, I probably would of loved it. But, it was a bad idea.
I tried hard to cover it up and not let me emotions show but, I failed. Wynn just gathered it all up and away it went and I never saw it again.
He felt really bad.

Natalie gave me a bag of my favorite things. Oh, everything from chocolate to breakfast
cereal were in there. Natalie, thanks so much, it meant a lot and I've loved
everything you gave me. Thanks for being so thoughtful. I love ya!

Our neighbors across the street, the Shewey's, invited us over for cake and ice cream.
I really needed that and it made the evening complete.

Later on that same evening, Natalie got her friends game, Rock Band, and brought it over to our house and we had a party. It was so much fun.

I think I liked it so much because everyone could play!

On Monday, Wynn had flowers sent to me.
The note just stated: Hope these are a better idea.
They were!
On Monday night the door bell rang and there were these beautiful daisy's left on the porch. I Had no idea who sent them. Later on, Matt confessed. They are so beautiful, they made me so happy. Something about those bright colors just warm my heart.

Monday night Steven, Brooke and Emily came over and brought a fun singing Gorilla. They were gone to Washington on my birthday and so they came and we celebrated. We played
Rock Band again and once again, it was so much fun.

Emily and Natalie were having a great time!
Emily loved watching.

I must say, I am so glad my 50th birthday is over. It's not so bad now but
knowing it was coming was bad. It's true, I am now officially old and the
neat part is, I don't feel it at all. I just feel blessed to have the friends
and family that I have and that I have so much to be thankful for.
I hope I have many more years of bliss!!!
