Our trip to Seattle

Last week Wynn and I took a little road trip to Seattle.
It was so nice just to get away. Matt was gone to
Cedar Badge for the week so we took full advantage of that
and we took off. So nice just to be together and not
have to do anything I didn't want to.

Years ago when we went to Moscow Wynn found this
bridge and loved it. We have since tried to find it
again with no luck. But this time he found it.
It was closer to Lewiston than he remembered.
Isn't it beautiful?

Here we are on top of the Space Needle.
We just relaxed and watch the sun set.

Just beautiful!

You haven't lived until you go on a Duck tour in Seattle.

Land and sea!

With an old fisherman?

So big. . .

This is the house used in Sleepless in Seattle.
(The blue one in the middle)

Space Needle from our Harbor tour cruise.

It was so cold.
Can you tell?

Feeding the seagulls.

We left Seattle and drove highway 101 down the coast.
We went through Forks, WA.
Does the book Twilight mean anything to you?

We stopped several times and hiked in and saw some
really old trees.
Wynn is standing in the hollow part of a Cedar tree.
(If I remember right)

Here we are up in the North Head Light house on Long Beach.

North Head lighthouse.

Cape Disappointment Lighthouse.
I just love lighthouses.
These two were so beautiful.

We had a great time and now it's time to
get back into a routine and get some
things done this summer.
Oh, I just love vacations. . .

Stake Youth Conference at West Piney

This year for YC we went to West Piney.
Such a beautiful place.
Yes, it rained and rained. Driving up there on Thursday morning, the
sky was so black and it just poured. I prayed and prayed for good weather.
I told Heavenly Father that it could be cold and cloudy and the wind
could even blow but please no rain.
Well, it did rain but it did not interfere with any of our activities.
We were so blessed.

The kids had lots of fun.
We made our own "Brand New Year" DVD.
Each ward did a segment and then we compiled it into
one and showed it after the dance on Friday night.
I hope the kids liked it as much as I did, it was amazing!

Of course, the slide was a big hit!

We also had a dance practice for the tri-stake dance
festival being held in August.

Food, food and more food.
It seems like all we did was prepare and serve FOOD!

Dutch oven cobbler after the fireside and before the dance.

When there is food, yes, there are dishes!

We made over 300 scones and every one of them were gone!

My ward at YC!
I love you guys.

I just love West Piney. There is a special spirit there.
We get to go again in a few short weeks to girls camp.
WATCH OUT WEST PINEY,
WE ARE COMING AGAIN!!!
