Mr. Skyline

Last night Matt was in Mr. Skyline.
Kind of a spoof on a beauty pageant.
I must say that it was pretty good.
We really enjoyed ourselves.
A lot of time and effort went into it. They
did an exercise routine, talent, evening wear
and they even had to answer an on the spot
question. It was really well done.
The cheerleaders sponsored it and it was great!

He didn't win but it sure was a fun evening and Matt did an awesome job!

WE LOVE YOU MATT!!!

Hailey's Bridal Shower

Last Saturday was Hailey and Brittney's bridal shower.
As you can see, we had great refreshments!
(Hailey's sister, Brittney is getting married
just two weeks after her and Sam. So, we did
a combined shower.)

Here is Hailey opening her present for Grandma Hayes.
It was a nice afternoon and the girls got lots of neat stuff.

Hailey Graduates from College!!!

Last week Wynn and I left on Thursday afternoon
to travel to Prove for Hailey's graduation.
We drove the pick-up so we could move them home.
Boy, we were packed to the top!

Graduation was Friday morning at 8:00.
It was a rainy day but it didn't dampen our spirits!

We are so proud of you Hailey.
We're excited for you to be part of our family.

My 3 favorite Easter Pictures

My brother, Paul's, new grand baby.
Taylor David Hayes and oh, so cute!

My sister, Jana's, new grand baby.
Justin Dean Funk.
My favorite grand baby. . .
Sound asleep in the middle of a story.

I love you all no matter who's Grand baby you are!

The wedding quilt

I got it done!

This is the quilt I made for Sam and Hailey. Their wedding colors are red, white & black. I have had so much fun with them. I've never been a real fan of those colors but I can honestly say that I LOVE them.
I hope they like this quilt as much as I do. I had so much fun putting it together for them. I'm excited to give it to them. The whole time I was making it, I thought of them. It's so fun getting ready for a wedding and so neat to see Sam so much in love. But, kind of sad to see my little, blonde haired boy all grown-up. I pray he continues to call me almost everyday and that he will always put Hailey first. Time for Mom to step aside and for Hailey to step right in. We love you Hailey and are so glad you are going to be part of our eternal family!

Just had to share!

When I was a little girl, I used to sit by my Grandma Gneiting and watch her as she embroidered. It was fascinating to me. Grandma always had some needle work she was working on. If she was sitting, she was busy working on something. Still to this day, it is a comfort sort of thing to embroidery. I don't get to do it much and I love it. So, I drug out an old project that I had started years ago and worked on it during conference. It was so much fun and I couldn't quit.
So, here is my finished project! I'm done and I can't wait to put clean sheets on my bed and to put these pillowcases on our pillows.

YW Leadership Conference

Lucky me. . .
I got to go to Salt Lake last week and attend the YW leadership conference. All my counselors had other things going on so Wynn took me. It was so wonderful. The first think I noticed was the colors of the value flags. They aren't the bright colors anymore, they are pastel. The picture really doesn't do them justice!

I even got to say the closing prayer. Sis. Cook came right up to me and gave me a big hug and told me that she still had our camp pictures on her screen saver on her computer. It was a wonderful experience. I learned so much and I fill so full. I really was spiritually uplifted.
