Moab - Fall 2012

Wynn and I and Wynn's brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Karen,
went to Moab this past weekend.
We had so much fun!

We left last Wednesday afternoon and drove to Lehi and stayed
with Mike and Karen's daughter and her family.
We had the best tortellini soup I have ever had.
It was so good.
We got up Thursday morning to SNOW!  Brrrrr
We didn't let it get us down, we headed for Moab.
We got there in time to do Gemini Bridges and Metal Masher.
It was so pretty.  A little nippy but not too bad.
We had a really nice hotel, we stayed at the Super 8.
We played cards in the lobby and drank hot cocoa.
On Friday we did Poison Spider and Golden Spike.
So beautiful, I love the red rock against the blue sky.

Saturday we did Fins and Things and the Sovereign ATV loop.
We headed for home at about 5:00 p.m.  We had planned on staying
in a hotel somewhere close to S.L.C. but no one wanted to
unload again so we just pressed for home.
We got home around 1:00 a.m.
I was so glad to be home but it was so fun to go spend some
time with my honey.
I can't wait till next year!

THE RACE!

Over the weekend, I got to go to Moab with Natalie
and watch her run a half marathon.
That is 13.1 miles!

I am so proud to say that she did incredible!
I knew she would because she has been
so diligent at training.

Moab is such a beautiful place and the weather
was just perfect.

Here,  Natalie is coming.  She is the little blue dot in the back.

Just before the finish line.
(she is still smiling!)

The finish line.

Everything was so well organized!

Just had to add the beautiful picture.

This is  castle Rock.

Natalie with her medal!

So glad I could go with Natalie and spend a fun weekend
together.  We had a ball!

Camden is 2 . . .

I can't believe our little Camden is 2!
It seems like he was just a little newborn.
He is the cutest little guy and he has
stolen our hearts.

What a Daddy's boy he is and oh, so
cute.  I just love that curly
little, blonde head.

I couldn't make it to his party because
I was going to Moab with Natalie so,
Wynn and I went over on Friday night.
We gave him our present, had
pizza and watched a  movie.
We just had our own little party.
It was such a fun evening.

Sure hope your 2nd birthday was as special
as you are Camden!
We love you!

Activity Day Girls

Yesterday was our Activity Day.
We painted Halloween Pumpkins.
The girls seemed to have a great time.
The pictures are bad because I used my phone.
Next time, I'll remember my camera.

The best kept secret in the whole world is -
being the Activity Day Leader.
It's the best calling ever.

FHE

One of the perks of being a bishop up at BYU-I is we
get to have the FHE groups come into our
home for FHE.

Last Monday night the kids came and we had so much fun.
They always bring such a sweet spirit with them.
I love having them come.
They bring a lesson and a game and all
I have to do is provide a treat.
(I got the easy part)

We played the flour game.
Pictures follow. . .

Can you tell why I never really liked this game?
But, they seemed to enjoy it.

I always like it when Wynn gathers the kids around and then has
each one of them tell about themselves.
So interesting to hear what they each have to say.
What a great group of kids!

P.S.  The really cute, curly haired girl with her face in the flour
is writing Matt on his mission.

Did I mention that his release date is January 9th?
Oh my, I can hardly wait. . .
