Lewis & Clark Caverns

Saturday morning Wynn and I headed out for Yellowstone Park. As we proceeded on our adventure, the weather went down hill. It was raining lots. So, we decided that since it was raining we would go somewhere where we would be inside. So. . . We we changed our direction and went to the Lewis & Clark Caverns. I had never been there before and the last time Wynn was there, he was a little boy.

I must say, it was an awesome thing to do in a raining day in August.

It was a great tour and so informative.

At one point in the cave we had to slide down a slide and walk all crunched over.
It was a neat place to visit and I recommend it if you haven't been there before.

It was so cool!
We took a picnic lunch but ended up eating it in
the car because it rained a lot of the day.

It was just nice to get away with Wynn for the day.
We just relaxed and enjoyed our time together.

Duty to God

A few months ago I visited with Matt and we went over the requirements left to get his Duty to God Award. He was so close but still had some work to do. I mentioned that it would be a shame if he didn't finish it up because he was so close. Well, he did it and not a minute too soon. He had his last interview with the bishop on the day he was ordained an Elder.

I must say that I was so proud yesterday when he was awarded his Duty to God award in sacrament meeting. Me made it and I couldn't be more proud! Boy, those requirements are so hard!

My Garden. . .

I"ll be the first to admit that I am NOT a gardner.
I do try to grow a few things
each year but I never have too green of a thumb.
My petunias grew large but I don't think they
like my hot deck too much.

One large tomato!
Notice there is only two more tomatoes on this vine and
they will probably never reach maturity.
I picked this mater and Wynn and I promptly ate it.
Oh, it was so good.

Tri-Stake Dance Festival

Last Saturday was our Tri-Stake Dance Festival.
We have been working on this event for months!
Our dance specialists deserve a huge medal, it
was so awesome! I couldn't believe how it
all came together. We learned a lot and
I think the youth had a great time.

Our faithful stake YW Presidency: Ellen Spaulding,
Robyn Holmgren, me and
Pat Madsen. Boy, I love these guys,
they are so great to work with and such
amazing friends to me.

Matt's an Elder in the Priesthood!

The only way today could of been better is if Steven, Brooke and Emily would of been here. They were in Washington for Brooke's sister's wedding. We had family dinner and then all the guys went to our Stake Priesthood meeting. We went over to the church at 7:00 and that is when Matt was ordained an Elder by his Father. It was a wonderful occasion. All my son's are now Elders! I'm so proud!
This is a picture of Matt's friends who attended his ordination. It was so nice of them to come! The friends that were Elders got to participate in the ordination. It was a perfect evening.
